Eagle cast crankshafts are an excellent alternative to regrinding an O.E. crank. Cast from carbon steel, along with some minor design improvements, Eagle cast steel cranks typically are slightly stronger than O.E. iron cranks and some early forged cranks. Eagle cast cranks feature a .092" fillet radius on every journal to improve strength, and O.E. replacement bearings can still be used. Eagle cast cranks are recommended for naturally-aspirated, pump-gas, street engines and not for competition use.
